In the last post I wrote that I organize a seminar for the women here in the village. I am so glad that I have dared to take this step, because I had enough to worry:
“I do not speak the language correctly and sometimes I can not translate the things I want to say, the translations of the instructions into Greek might contain mistakes, the speech in front of a group could become embarrassing, what if no one comes ” … and so on.
For some time I had the desire to change my previous blog design and replace it with a fresher look. Finally I found a design that I like very much. There is also a “Donate” button, so you can support me and my blog and my future projects.
My niece saw on television a report about the Loch Ness monster in Scotland and she was fascinated by the story: Nessie is a monster that, despite many efforts, nobody was able to find it and there are still speculations as to whether it really exists.
When I first saw Peppa, the little piggy-girl, I wondered that Peppa had so many fans. I thought, she did not look sooo cute. My niece agreed with me – Peppa is a design that is made for small children.
End of September begins the most exciting time of the year in my vineyard – the vintage. It is important that it does not rain at the end of the ripening period, because the sugar content of the grapes decreases after a rain.
How to make wings for a doll? Of course you can crochet them, but you can also tinker the wings and you will have many different wings in a short time.
You will need: A large plastic bottle (1.5 l) or a big disposable plastic cup, household scissors, nail scissors, adhesive tape. Needle and rubber band for the straps.
Nina, my friend gave me a small Amigurumi nurse. I wanted to test Nina’s pattern and publish it here, but somehow I changed almost everything – except the patterns for arms and legs, which are original by Nina ♥ Without her idea this little nurse would not be here – so I thank her with all my heart for the inspiration and lovely gift.
In October 2013 I was crocheting a Teddy for a small crochet group here in Soufli. I had just begun to write my own patterns and the Teddy was one of my first designs. I wrote this pattern with symbols, because my Greek was still very poor and also it was easier to understand for the women who did not speak English.
