It’s been a while since I wrote anything. My last post was in February when I started a crochet group here in town and did not have much time for the blog. But to be perfectly honest, I also lost my motivation – the writing and designing of the patterns had suddenly become tedious.

Amigurumi University

In the last post I wrote that I organize a seminar for the women here in the village. I am so glad that I have dared to take this step, because I had enough to worry:

“I do not speak the language correctly and sometimes I can not translate the things I want to say, the translations of the instructions into Greek might contain mistakes, the speech in front of a group could become embarrassing, what if no one comes ” … and so on.

How to make wings out of a plastic bottle

How to make wings for a doll? Of course you can crochet them, but you can also tinker the wings and you will have many different wings in a short time.

You will need: A large plastic bottle (1.5 l) or a big disposable plastic cup, household scissors, nail scissors, adhesive tape. Needle and rubber band for the straps.

Teddy is back

In October 2013 I was crocheting a Teddy for a small crochet group here in Soufli. I had just begun to write my own patterns and the Teddy was one of my first designs. I wrote this pattern with symbols, because my Greek was still very poor and also it was easier to understand for the women who did not speak English.
