Looking for an idea for a different Easter gift (yes, I’ve already thought of it – finally everything has to be crocheted – and that takes time), I found a very interesting page: Crochet Sphere Calculator – an invention of Alexander Avtanski.

Wishes
A few weeks ago my friend came over for a visit with her little daughter. We had a great time chatting and laughing and her daughter played happily all evening with my Amigurumi.
Just before they left she came over, looked up at me coyly with her big blue eyes and timidly asked me, “Could you please make me one too?”Of course I said “Yes”, I love this cute little thing so how could I refuse such a request? So I asked, “And what kind of Amigurumi would you like to have?”
Madagaskar and its lemurs
On a beautiful and far away island – with rainforests and deserts, mangrove forests and palm beaches – there you will find lemurs. The name of the island is Madagascar. Many species of lemurs live there, but the most famous (probably because of the movie with the same name) are the gray ring-tailed lemurs with their black and white striped tails.
Smart Cats
“Cats are smarter than dogs. You can’t get eight cats to pull a sled through snow.” Jeff Valdez.
After I read that, I wanted to check it out for myself. “Mailiiiiin” I shouted, “call the dogs, we need to find out something.” Mailin whistled for the dogs and we tied them to the sledge.
As expected, they pulled the sledge obediently through the snow.
Everything started with a snowball …
Actually I wanted to crochet a snowball for the Christmas tree. When I had done half, I had the idea to put a little angel in the ball.
The little snowman
If you find a free hour here and there in the busy Christmas season, then maybe it would be a good idea to relax by crocheting the snowman – or sit down in a cozy armchair, read the story with your family and forget for a while everything around you.
