Christmas is coming again. My year was hectic and turbulent – but now I have a few days off and I enjoy the quiet days between the years.

As a child I loved the series “Little House on the Prairie”. The plot is quickly told: It’s about the American farmer family Ingalls, 1878 they pack their belongings on a horse cart to look for a new home and end up in Walnut Grove, Minnesota. The couple (Charles u. Caroline) and their three daughters (Mary, Laura and Carrie) struggle with the forces of nature and survive some illnesses. However, they have to work hard and the kids get annoyed by bratty Nellie Oleson.

I had a only a few dresses and shoes, but I had a lot of ideas and so I tinkered her clothes from tissues. Or I made a veil out of it, picked some daisies and I had a bride!
